The Alzheimer's Society

We are extremely proud to be supporting this amazing charity at Ghostbusters Celebration Wales 25!

They do amazing work!

Why they need support.

Dementia is the biggest health and social challenge of our time. There are currently estimated to be 900,000 people in the UK with dementia. Many are undiagnosed and facing the realities of their condition alone. As a Society, and with the help of our supporters, we’re changing that.

With your help we can give vital support to those who need it most, hold decision-makers to account, and fund groundbreaking research to transform the future for everyone living with dementia.  (Alzheimer's Society, 2024)

How they help

Dementia support services

Through our support line, online and print information, expert dementia advisers and online community, we give advice and practical guidance for the next steps as people living with dementia navigate the hardest times of their lives. Through this vital work, we want people living with dementia to enjoy more fulfilled lives. From the moment someone is worried about memory loss they can turn to us for help

Funding dementia research

As well as the vital help we provide, we bring hope. And we know investment in research is key if we want to change the landscape of dementia in the future. That’s why right now, we’re backing the world’s brightest minds and funding over 600 research projects to find the best ways to get early diagnosis, innovate care and develop targeted treatments.

Campaign action

We hold decision-makers to account, using evidence and working with thousands of campaigners to amplify the voices of everyone living with dementia to make dementia the priority it should be.
